Acrobatics Instructor
The National Circus School, a higher education institution dedicated to training professional circus artists, seeks an Acrobatics Instructor.
This person will instruct grade school and high school students as well as those in the more advanced levels in intermediate and advanced floor acrobatics techniques as applied to circus arts. The successful candidate will undertake evaluation and teaching duties, and assume other tasks of a pedagogical or technical nature. He or she also will be called upon to assist in the staging of student public performances.
Background required:
- An undergraduate degree in a relevant specialized field, or a Level III certificate from the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) or the equivalent;
- Relevant experience as either a professional circus artist or artistic gymnast of national or international calibre;
- Eight years experience in teaching acrobatics in a higher circus school or as an artistic gymnastic instructor at the national or international level;
- A working knowledge of the French language.
The annual salary is between $45,000 and $54,000, based on previous experience. The benefits package includes group insurance coverage, the Quebec government employees= pension plan (REGGOP), and 5 vacation weeks per year.

Full-time Instructor in Hand-to-Hand (Acrobatics) and Balancing
The National Circus School, a higher education institution dedicated to training professional circus artists, seeks a full-time Instructor in Hand-to-Hand (Acrobatics) and Balancing.
This person will instruct grade school and high school students as well as those in the more advanced levels in intermediate and advanced hand-to-hand techniques, and in basic and intermediate techniques of balancing on canes. The successful candidate will undertake student evaluations and assume other tasks of a pedagogical or technical nature. He or she also may be called upon to assist in the staging of student public performances.
Background required:
- An undergraduate degree in a relevant specialized field, or a Level III certificate from the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) or the equivalent;
- Relevant experience as either a professional circus artist or sports gymnast (acrosport) of national or international calibre;
- Eight years experience in teaching hand-to-hand in a higher circus school or as a sports gymnastics (acrosport) instructor at the national or international level;
- A working knowledge of the French language.
